Introduction

The Centre of Canadian Studies was established in 1975. It is the longest running centre outside Canada. Through those years, it has established itself as the leading centre for research on Canada and Quebec in the UK.

The Centre provides a forum for researchers from across the University. However, its research focus lies primarily in the social sciences, in politics and international relations, sociology, social anthropology and social policy. It enjoys excellent relations with the Canadian High Commission in the UK and the Délégation Générale du Québec à Londres.
