Canadian High Commission to bring Canadian poet to the Centre of Canadian Studies

Chad Norman, of Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada, will visit the University of Edinburgh as part of a speaking/reading tour of the UK this fall.

While in Edinburgh, Chad will be part of a joint event organised by the Centre of Canadian Studies and the Scottish Poetry Library, where he will speak on Canadian Poetry, past and present, share samples, and read from his own collections published over the past 30 years. The event, scheduled for Wednesday October 10 at 7 pm, will also include the prominent Scottish poet, Joy Hendry.

The Centre of Canadian Studies is the longest running centre dedicated to the study of Canada outside Canada. It will be our honour to host Chad and to present an event that will showcase the work of this wonderful contemporary Canadian poet, the author of some twenty books of poetry, and an authority on Canadian poetry.

This will also be an excellent opportunity to further foster the close cultural ties between Scotland and Canada.
