Canada 150 Lecture, marking 150 years of Canadian Confederation

The Canada 150 Lecture marks 150 years of the Canadian Confederation. This was a development that Scots played a particularly prominent role. We are delighted that Scotland’s preeminent historian, Professor Sir Tom Devine, author of the acclaimed books The Scottish Nation 1700-2000 and Scotland’s Empire, 1600-1815, has agree to give this lecture. The lecture is entitled, ‘The Scottish Impact on 19th Century Canada’.

This is a co-sponsored event between the Centre of Canadian Studies and Scottish History

A drinks reception will be held after the Lecture from 4.30 - 6.30pm
