Visit of Dr Peter Boehm, Canadian Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany
We were delighted to welcome Dr Peter Boehm on a visit to Centre. Dr Boehm has had an impressive career in the Canadian Foreign Service, including postings as Minister (Political and Public Affairs) at the Canadian Embassy in Washington (2001-2004) and Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States (OAS) 1997-2001.
Prior to embarking on his diplomatic career Dr Boehm undertook graduate studies at the Centre of Canadian Studies. His PhD "Towards Principled
Influence: Canadian Foreign Policy, 1943-1948" was awarded by the University of Edinburgh in 1983. It was very special to welcome Peter Boehm as an alumnus of the Centre's doctoral programme.
